About

The LJ Wing company was founded in 1875 and was a pioneer in the development of specialized fan systems. In 1917 LJ Wing started down the road of providing steam heating solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. The experience gained in those early days led to the development of the LJ Wing Integral Face and Bypass (IFB) steam heating coil for air handlers. This combination of a steam heating coil and a powered damper allowed the coil to maintain full steam flow at all times...thus providing freeze protection to the coil while still modulating the leaving air temperature without the need for modulating steam valves. Wing IFB coils are available in vertical (VIFB) or horizontal (IFB) configurations to match the aspect ratio of most air handlers. VIFB coils can be designed for air handlers up to 77,000 cfm. IFB coils can be designed for air handlers up to 50,000 cfm. Special air distribution accessories and units with integrated fans are also available.
