About
Aztec has been manufacturing quality heating and cooling, Indirect and Indirect/Direct Evaporative products since 1969. We have provided HVAC equipment to numerous school districts, prisons, military bases, defense contractors, large industrial facilities, and small business complexes. As a patent-holding pioneer in the development of indirect evaporative cooling systems Aztec is the only company that includes an integrated cooling tower specifically designed to optimize the cooling capacity of the unit. Air handling capacities range from 1,500 cfm to 37,500 cfm and include single or multiple fan configurations with variable speed optional. DDC controls are also available with control algorithms optimized as a result of research conducted under a National Science Foundation funded project. Real time monitoring and status display are available as part of the DDC package.

Efficient Cooling Solutions
Aztec indirect/direct evaporative cooling/gas or electric heating systems can provide efficient cooling solutions for many types of buildings. This building in New Mexico uses a single unit to cool the entire building.
Sustainable Solution
Like many other large global corporations this biotech giant launched a program to reduce greenhouse gases and global warming potential. A major step in that direction was the reduction or elimination of refrigerant-based cooling solutions. Aztec worked with the company to evaluate the effectiveness of the Aztec indirect/direct evaporative cooling as a replacement for a conventional DX rooftop unit on an office building. A year of careful monitoring and data collection provided the information needed for this company to build out their roadmap for future building designs.
